SPRINGSOFT PARTNERS WITH ENGINEERS WITHOUT BORDERS LABDOO PROJECT

Joined with Denali to Kick Off Laptop Collection Drive at DAC

HSINCHU, Taiwan, August 24, 2009 - SpringSoft, Inc. (TAIEX: 2473), a global supplier of specialized IC design software, today announced the successful launch of its global charitable program benefiting the Engineers Without Borders Labdoo Project, a non-profit program with the mission of bringing a laptop to every kid on the planet. This SpringSoft community program was first introduced last month at the 46th Design Automation Conference (DAC) with a collection drive for used and unwanted laptops sponsored in collaboration with Denali Software. Based on the positive reception to date, SpringSoft is extending its participation in the Labdoo Project through the remainder of 2009.

"We are very pleased to have SpringSoft as a key partner of the Labdoo Project," said Jordi Ros, founder of Labdoo Project and member of Engineers without Borders. "SpringSoft is making a tremendous contribution to the global community by raising awareness and allocating resources to the collection of excess supply of technology for distribution to disadvantaged kids."

"Technology is at the heart of the EDA industry, and the incubator for innovations that touch virtually all aspects of work and life. By helping the Labdoo Project bring technology to kids and developing countries, we are united in a cause that serves our neighbors, our industry, and the global community," said Scott Sandler, vice president of worldwide corporate marketing and president of SpringSoft USA. "The response by DAC attendees is encouraging, and we look forward to expanding outreach efforts with the help of SpringSoft customers, partners, and employees."

With ongoing volunteer projects worldwide, Engineers Without Borders in Orange County has come to partner with and understand the challenges of many developing communities, the demand side of the Labdoo network. By providing outreach to the electronic design automation (EDA) industry, SpringSoft and Denali helped to engage future supply-side partners in bringing education and technology to those in need. This initial effort collected more than 10 laptops during DAC in San Francisco, Calif. and from SpringSoft corporate headquarters in Taiwan.

"Denali has always cherished opportunities to support worthwhile industry endeavors and community causes," remarks David Lin, vice president of Marketing for Denali Software. "The Engineers Without Borders Labdoo Project allows for our customers, partners, and other vendors to lend their support by donating unused or unwanted technology to benefit disadvantaged children in various countries."
