Trace Driver/Load Signals from Waveform View

To find the driver and load signals is one of the most frequently used actions when debugging a design. Most users have experienced the benefit and convenience by tracing driver/load signals in nTrace, however they would still need to drag and drop these signals from nTrace to nWave if they are going to view the waveform in the familiar waveform window.

Starting from Verdi 2008.10, two new commands are provided in nWave for tracing driver and load signals. Users who are used to debugging in waveform window now can stay in nWave, and do exactly the same tracing actions as they did in nTrace. In order to run this command in nWave, the design must be imported in nTrace first, as the tracing driver or load action will need to analyze the design structure.
