Verification Tips:
Show Signal List for Selected Module
When debugging a design, signals are usually one of most important items which need to be dealt with. To quickly understand how many signals are inside a module, the Verdi system provides a couple of ways to achieve this: the Browse Signals form in nTrace and the Get Signals form in nWave. However...
Automatically Backup nWave Signals
Some users may have experienced a situation where the Verdi process was accidentally
closed during a long debug process. When this happens, it is frustrating to get
back to the same debug point, since...
IC Design Tips:
Tcl Debug With The dbHierDump Utility
Tcl commands may be used to extract attributes out of the database for any given cell. Tcl stands for Tool Command Language. It is a scripting language that is used to control and extend applications. It is an interpreted language and is run by passing the script file to the Tcl interpreters, and therefore does not need to be compiled.
