Verification Tips:

Compile and Save Design Data Incrementally

Compiling the design into the debug data base is usually the first step to debug, and the vericom utility is provided with the Verdi system to compile and save the debug database incrementally. Starting from Verdi 2009.07, a new module-based mechanism has been added to the vericom utility for incrementally saving the debug data.

Support for SOC Encounter Timing Report

The Verdi system has provided direct import and visualization for PrimeTime timing reports for years. Users can import the PrimeTime report directly to view the results in a dedicated window with rich sorting schemes, and the violation path can also be visualized in the schematic view with annotated delay time and meaningful gate symbols with the click of a button.

IC Design Tips:

MCell Rule Switch

MCell rule switch allows multiple device rule settings for users to choose from while creating and editing layout. One setting will be designated the "default" setting. Additional settings are contained in the technology file, and the default is specified in the MCell.rc file.

SpringSoft Strengthen's Operations in Europe

Newbury, England, September 8, 2009 - SpringSoft, Inc. (TAIEX: 2473), a global supplier of specialized IC design software, today announced that ISS Group and Transfer B.V. will distribute the SpringSoft verification enhancement and custom chip design solutions in Europe's Nordic and BeNeLux regions. Sweden-based ISS will serve as the Scandinavian source for SpringSoft's complete NovasTM verification enhancement portfolio, which includes the VerdiTM Automated Debug, SilotiTM Visibility Automation, and CertitudeTM Functional Qualification products. Transfer B.V., headquartered in The Netherlands, will focus on the BeNeLux market (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg) for SpringSoft's LakerTM custom IC design and Novas verification enhancement products.

Panasonic's AVC Networks Company Extends Deployment of SpringSoft's Verdi Debug System

Hsinchu, Taiwan, August 3, 2009 - SpringSoft, Inc. (TAIEX: 2473), a global supplier of specialized IC design software, today announced that AVC Networks Company of Panasonic Corporation has extended the terms of its comprehensive agreement for the SpringSoft VerdiTM Automated Debug System. The agreement with SpringSoft broadens Panasonic's existing deployment of the Verdi system for logic verification and analysis.

SpringSoft is working with the Engineers Without Borders Labdoo Project to bring the excess supply of technology from our developed world to developing regions throughout the globe. At this year's DAC, we kicked off the program with a collection drive for used and unwanted laptops that will be refurbished and distributed to disadvantaged communities. We will continue to collect laptops on behalf of Engineers Without Borders Labdoo Project.
